Frequently asked questions
What should I wear?
Wear something that you're comfortable in! If you feel uncomfortable in your clothes, you may not be as relaxed during the session and that may come through in the photos. We will likely be taking photos in both the standing and sitting position so consider this when choosing your outfit. Wearing colors that compliment each other is appealing to the eye. I recommend avoiding clothing with logos (e.g. Gap logo, Nike swoosh, etc). If you need any help with outfit planning, let me know!
Can I bring a favorite book, toy, stuffed animal, etc.?
Absolutely! Let's capture these favorites in your photos!
Do you use a flash?
I don't use a flash. All of my sessions rely on natural lighting. Outdoor sessions are best for this but I will consider indoor sessions if there is a lot of natural light available. Best time for outdoor sessions is in the late afternoon.
How long until I can see my photos?!?
If you've signed a model release form, I will release "sneak peeks" from your session on Instagram a few days after our photo shoot. Your password protected full gallery will be available in 3 weeks and the link will be e-mailed to you.
Where should I get my photos printed?
I recommend professional photo printing companies such as Mpix or Bay Photo. Photo printing at places such as Walgreens, CVS, Costco, Target is NOT high quality and the prints will reflect this!
Do you edit the photos?
I do basic editing in post-production. This includes adjusting exposure, color, contrast, cropping, etc.
Do you have a studio?
At this time I do not have a studio. All of my sessions take place on-location.
Do I get to see every photo you take?
The quick answer is no. I will take a lot of photos during your session. This is to make sure that I capture the best images possible. After our session, I will go through the photos and take out all the bad images (e.g. closed eyes, blurry images, etc.) and provide you with the best images from your session.
What if we're rained out?
I will help you reschedule your session at no additional cost.

The remaining balance is due at the time of your session.
